"I have worn upper and lower dentures with two mandibular implants that have failed and fell out. I have no lower ridge. My bite was collapsed. It was difficult to keep my lower denture in even with adhesive and food was constantly getting underneath them. After many years of wearing upper and lower partials, other problems arose. My dentist felt it was in my best interest to have remaining teeth extracted and be fitted with full upper and lower dentures. I now had to choose a denturist to make immediate dentures. After all the fittings with the denturist I coordinated picking up the dentures with the date of my extractions. On the day I had the extractions when my dentist fitted the dentures in my mouth he said they were not fitting correctly. This resulted in months of doing battle with this denturist. He finally agreed to make new dentures. The new ones were just as awful. The longer I tried to wear them the worst it became. I knew I had to do something else.

I went to Denture Solutions and had a consultation with Shannon. I explained all the problems I was having and how I could not tolerate the dentures that were made for me. I also shared how this denturist felt there was nothing wrong with the dentures and that I was the problem. He felt nothing could please me. Shannon's associate Ralph came into the room at this time. He examined the dentures and knew immediately why I had issues. Both he and Shannon agreed the bite was off and that resulted in bad fitting dentures. I reiterated to Ralph that maybe it was me, that I was just hard to please, to which he replied he liked a challenge. I decided to start over with Denture Solutions. Best decision I could have made. 

From the first visit for my impressions it was so professional, like day and night from the other place. Shannon making the impressions was totally different. She used a material for the impressions that wasn't chalky like the other place. When I remarked how much better her method of making the impressions was, Ralph said that's because they use the best materials where this other place used the cheapest. Shannon also explained how the first step of making the impressions is so important in the final results of the dentures. I brought in pictures of what I looked like with my own teeth. Ralph picked what teeth would be most like my own and assured me they use the best. The whole staff is awesome, Louise at the front desk. When I voiced concerns about starting over she assured me they work hard to make sure patient has a positive results. 

I received my dentures 7 weeks ago and waited before writing a review. I wanted to make sure I was entirely happy with my results. I love my new smile, the fit. I told Shannon if word gets out about her place she won't be able to keep up. I went for two minor fittings, again Shannon was awesome. I couldn't be happier with Denture Solutions. Thanks to the whole staff.

I had my old dentures repaired at two places. One generic “McDonalds” mass production business in Sanford. The second was at Denture Solutions. The former fixed the repair with some rough edging I had to later remove with sandpaper. I never spoke with anyone. The experience at Denture Solutions was totally different. I was referred to Denture Solutions by a friend. I want to start by being honest and tell you just how skeptical I was about purchasing another replacement denture. I already had 2 upper dentures made in seven years. Both dentures were just lousy as far as I’m concerned. They never fit and I had to use adhesive constantly. Now, I can’t begin to say how happy I am. My teeth feel as comfortable as my own and I can eat anything; seeds, apples, corn on the cob and steak all without adhesive. I tend to be an “economical old yankee” but the over an hour drive to Kennebunk was well worth it. I continue to tell all my friends about the great experience I’ve had with their office.

Before coming to Denture Solutions, I had loose dentures, lots of Fixodent to stay in to eat only soft foods. I had no facial support or (lip) gone. Other dentures made (2 others) then Aspen denture made a denture that was so bad I could never wear them no matter how much adhesive I wore, after they would not do anything to help me after a month of countless visits. I had become sick of throwing away money on useless teeth. I decided to try Denture Solutions. It’s an hour and half from me but I had to try something & it sounded like what I desperately needed. After many years of living with the worry of having broken dental work at an embarrassing time (which happened more than a few times) and living with ill fitting teeth that didn’t work I finally was forced to do something about it. You get comfortable with what you are used to and hesitate to make a change. You also might be concerned about a change in appearance so you keep putting it off. But when a plate gets broken in three pieces and you can’t repair it properly you have no choice. I was looking for a place to get great work done at a reasonable price. The office is neat and organized and very professional, friendly and comfortable. You just know that they are dedicated to what they do.

It is obvious that Shannon’s work is more than just her job, but also her passion. When she mentioned she sometimes has a hard time sleeping, thinking of her patients, I knew I was at the right place. She is a skilled craftsman with great attention to detail. This is a very personal event and she understands that. She is not your run of the mill assembly plant like many of the other options. It’s been a couple of weeks now and I couldn’t be more pleased. Everything has improved…..appearance, confidence, function….it is a life changing event. I can comfortably eat anything and I could bite your finger right off.
